Your Skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in software development and optimizing web applications
- Java, Python, JS
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Well-founded knowledge of software development cycle and some of the corresponding tools (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, NetBeans/IntelliJ);
- Well-founded knowledge of modern Web infrastructure under special consideration of performance, stability, safety, scalability and connectivity;
- Good English verbal and written communication is a must;
- A great team player and a strong collaborator
- HTML5, CSS, MySQL
- Mongo or Oracle databases knowledge
- At least 1 year experience in developing REST APIs;
- Ability to administrate infrastructure components (DevOps) Linux;
- Knowledge of German
Your Tasks
- In this role you will be responsible for development while understanding the current and envisioning the future landscape, developing backend systems and interconnection to enterprise applications
- Develop Java and Python applications as well as smart contracts in the Catena-X team, drive constant exchange and coordination with the team, the department and other project teams
- Add new solutions and maintain existing applications as well as the underlying infrastructure, incl. analysis, specification, implementation of applications for Catena-X, its platform, modules and interfaces
- Driving the modernization of the deployment setup, code base and architecture, with the aim of migrating to cloud-based solutions where reasonable
- Knowledge of the (scaled) Agile approach with value-first and fail-fast principles is a plus; willing to take on the full DevOps responsibility for what we build
- Be creative & create something new: Work in an agile Team to create a hybrid cloud solution for Catena-X connectivity. Analyse requirements, develop software designs and provide pragmatic solutions which fits at best client needs. Backend Development up to Full-Stack
- Take responsibility: Beware software quality and security, take and influence decisions in agile environment.
- Act holistically and sustainable: Transfer your designs into software and be responsible for test and deployment. Ensure quality and maintainability of your software (clean code).
