We are looking for Resident Engineer (m/f/x) - QA (Automotive) for our client in Baden-Württemberg region.Start Date: ASAP

Fantastic opportunity to work in conjunction with a client on top leading-edge technology driving innovation in the automotive marketplace. Working closely with our customer’s and the project team, you will be responsible for technical support and strengthening the communication between the client.
As a Resident Engineer you are in-charge of an efficient and technically solid daily communication with the different suppliers and our customer. The position requires the Resident Engineer being on customer premises on a regular basis and is key for the success of the project.
Moreover, all deliveries must be tested on a weekly basis in target cars at our partner's premises and in case of issues it is required to extract proper log-files, to do a first technical defect analysis and to perform initial categorization and bug-triaging together with our partners.
Responsibilities:
• Attending regular technical meetings with customer and actively discuss status of bug reports and deliveries
• Testing client’s deliveries in target cars, alone and together with the customer
• Extracting log-files from cars in case of issues
• Supporting technical defect analysis
• Flashing cars and test benches with latest baselines from partner and updating software as needed.
• Define and optimize processes for software integration and deployment.
• Deploy speech software on embedded target platform
Qualifications:
• Ideally 2+years of work experience
• Experience in software testing
• Practical experience in software revision control systems as Perforce or Git and related processes.
• Good programming skills. Highly required Python and C/C++.
• Expert Experience in operation systems Linux and Windows
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English
• Strong personality to build the bridge with the client.
• Positive "can-do" attitude, well organized, focusing on achieving results
• Ability and willingness to handle occasional peak demands
• Willingness to travel to Ulm to attend internal meetings / trainings or for customer meetings
• Driving license (legally recognized in Germany)
Preferred skills:
• Experience with automotive software development
• Experience with speech recognition or related technologies
Education:
Bachelors or Graduate University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Test Engineering
