Mandatory Skills

Mandatory Skills: • Provide effort estimations, define, design, develop, implement and run Appian applications throughout the entire application life cycle based on governance process & artefacts • Gather functional and non-functional requirements and propose conceptual technical solutions • Advise stakeholders and address risks proactively • Develop APIs to integrate Appian with multiple systems • Collaborate with cross functional IT teams and business experts throughout the entire agile software development life cycle • Strong proficiency in agile software development practices • Deep Knowledge developing integrations using APIs such as REST and SOAP • Knowledge in cloud / service-based architecture (preferably based on Microsoft technologies) • Experience working with relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) • Knowledge of relational database design or database modeling • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to produce automation solutions on processes of high complexity • Ideally, knowledge of business processes in the re-insurance or insurance industry • Ideally, experience in leading Appian designer / developer teams • A high degree of commitment and the willingness and ability to master the various tasks are essential • Consulting and collaborative working style creating a culture of accountability and sharing • Strong consulting and communicative skills in virtual teams

Desired Skills
• Object oriented programming languages (preferably .NET) • Knowledge of software testing practice; test-driven development, setup and execution of automated test suites • University degree, preferably in computer engineering / IT or similar qualification

The Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) works across the organisation to drive efficiency gains through the implementation and exploitation of end-to-end business process automation solutions. The CoE is responsible for three primary platforms - Business Process Management (BPM) & Case Management, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Input Management - and contributes to objective of driving the “digital transformation of the company”. This role is for a Appian Senior Designer on one of the Automation CoE depending projects.
