For my berlin client mobile.de am looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)!The Project:
- Client: mobile.de
- Start: 01.09.2021
- Duration: 31.12.2021, with an extension option of 18 months, 40h/week
- Location: Berlin, 100% remote (currently remote, later possibly a few days per quarter in Dreilinden)
Tasks and Responsibilities :
· Contributing to the team's work to architect the infrastructure based on the Google Kubernetes Engine and other Google Cloud services around it
· Collaborating with product teams to analyse services, identify improvement areas for public cloud adoption and help to implement them
· Contributing to the codebase that defines our infrastructure components for production and development environments
· Coaching and mentoring product development teams about running their workloads on Kubernetes and leveraging other public cloud capabilities
· Exploring different technologies for our team to adopt and to share with other teams across the eBay Classifieds Group
Must Haves / Anforderungen:
· Extensive practical experience in designing and implementing solutions based on Google Cloud Platform
· Solid understanding of service meshes, e.g. Istio. Experience in production is a plus (abstraktes Verwaltungstool von Kubernetes)
· Advanced understanding of operation of distributed services and API's.
· Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
· General understanding of UNIX/Linux systems, networking, troubleshooting skills.
· Hands on programming experience in JVM languages, Node.js or Go.
· Effective oral and written English communication skills.
· High aspiration for quality balanced with a good sense of pragmatism.
· Independent and quick adoption of new technologies and concepts.
Nice to Have:
- General knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
- Knowledge and experience in deploying and operating services such as Kafka is a plus.
- Knowledge about Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform, is a plus
