Senior Cloud Engineer

Duration: Until end of the year
Location: Remote

I am currently working with an international manufacturing company that is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer for an initial 6 month project.


• Help finish transition from legacy Cloudformation configuration into Terraform
• Create APIs to facilitate the requests made of your team, instead of handling in person or manual requests
• Update documentation to keep up with changes brought on by these projects
• Work to improve the testability of our internal infrastructure codebases
• Expertise developing platforms with AWS Database, Caching and Queuing systems
• Successful implementation of SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for services
• Can instrument observability in distributed systems, and proactive alerting
• Experience scaling out cloud systems in multiple regions worldwide
• Has contributed to large projects and helped execute successfully
• Package and configuration management
• Infrastructure-as-code principles
• Kubernetes, AWS and Linux internals and APIs
• Heavy use of Docker, Bash, and/or Python
• Git or similar source code revision control systems
