Computer Vision Research Engineer (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- Basic algorithm research with mainly event-based sensor technology and creation of intellectual property
- Development and implementation of computer vision and sensor fusion algorithms on real-time platforms
- Implementation of proof of concept demonstrators with novel cameras and devices from robotics area
- Support establishment of a R&D infrastructure which facilitates teamwork for research & development
Main qualifications
- Background in engineering or computer science (PhD or equivalent experience)
- A track record of relevant academic publications, patents, and/or open source software is a benefits
- Strong background in computer vision principles and related linear algebra and machine learning theory
- Experience in event-based cameras, robotics or autonomous vehicles is a benefits
- Experience in optical, image sensor, or camera technology is a benefit
- Passion for good software with strong skills in in C/C++, Python and related tools
- Experience in embedded software development and/or ROS is a benefit
- Good communication skills and willingness to work in an agile team
- Excellent oral and written English; German and/or Japanese language skills are a benefit
