Dell EMC Isilon Job Description:-
? EMC Isilon Storage-L3 (Mandatory)
? NAS - Network Attached Storage-L3
Key skills required for the job are:
• Experience in Administration and Implementation of Dell EMC Isilon and advanced concepts of NAS
• Strong knowledge on Clustering and High Availability
• Knowledge on DFS,NFS and CIFS protocols
• Good knowledge of multiple file share services and environment, which includes windows and storage, based file servers.
• Expertise in Configuring and troubleshooting replications.
• Experience in upgrading Isilon versions and Firm ware
• In-depth knowledge on troubleshooting CIFS and NFS share issues
• Troubleshooting and managing of ISCSI and FC SAN environment.
• In-depth knowledge of implementing and configuring Operations Manager (DFM)
• System administration experience on Windows, HPUX or Sun Solaris, and knowledge on VMware would be an added value
• Knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem Management and Change Management processes.
• Certification on Dell EMC technology is an added advantage.
• Good skills on performance optimization.
• Solving complicated Hardware cases and Liaising with Hardware Vendor/NAS support
• Advanced trouble shooting skills and identify the severity of the issue, Ability to Resolving issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA
• Provide operational support on a 24x7 rotation basis.
• As a Senior Administrator, you should be able to handle first point escalation for all technical and process issues.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required.
• Ensure proper communication and quick resolution as a crisis manager.
• Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders.
• Perform RCA for Major Incidents related to his / her tower Follow quality / security process defined for the engagement.
• Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents, Hardware troubleshooting & Vendor coordination
• Prepare Weekly and monthly status reports.
• Participate in business meetings with various stakeholders on a need basis.
• Take corrective actions based on the customer satisfaction surveys.
• Work on the service improvement programs.
• Effort estimation/reviews on need basis for new projects.
Other Requirements :
• Minimum 9 years of experience in handling EMC Isilon Storage
• Understanding of VIP support (Special/Privileged) users/devices.
• Excellent teamwork, Time - Management and organizational skills.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by the customer and management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of ITIL framework (Optional)
• Willingness to work in shifts.
