Beschreibung

Senior Automotive E/E System Architect (m/w/d)

- Automotive E/E System Architects define the overall architecture of the vehicles E/E system (composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain
requirements defined by various stakeholders. Such definitions include: a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and Interfaces
(including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in its design and implementation.
- The System Architects owns the big picture system design. They interface with multiple stakeholders in order to understand the various levels of requirements, the
domain, the viable technologies, and anticipated development process.
- Their work includes determining multiple design and implementation alternatives, assessing such alternatives based on all identified constraints (such as cost,
schedule, space, power, safety, usability, reliability, ... ), and selecting the most suitable options for further design. The output of such work sets the core properties of
the system and those that are hardest to change later.
- In general, the role of the architect is to act as a mediator between the users/customers and the engineers, unite the customer needs and requirements with what the
engineers have determined to be doable within the given (engineering) constraints.
- Because of the extensive experience required for this, the Systems Architect is a very senior technologist with substantial, but general, knowledge of hardware,
software, and similar systems and a deep knowledge in the automotive E/E domain

Responsibilities

- Analyzing of customer requirements
- Generating the highest level of system requirements, based on the users/customers needs and other constraints
- Ensuring that this set of high level requirements is consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined
- Define and manage interfaces between system modules, generating design strategies to maintain useful abstraction barriers between components and facilitate
appropriate information transfer
- Creation, recommendation and presentation of systems architectures in a close cooperation with the Automotive OEMs, suppliers and the internal Hardware and
Software Teams
- Continually drive alignment between product, technical requirements, architecture design and detailed implementation
- Analyze full system performance data (e.g. on-road performance data) to identify cross-system trade-offs, trace high-level issues back to requirements and
specifications, and identify cross module solutions for issues
- Provide a view of technical risk to leadership based on system analysis and technology readiness.
Performing cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial
off-the-shelf or already developed components.

Profile

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry in the area of infotainment, cluster or cockpit electronic
- Several years of experience with system architectures and designs in embedded automotive systems
- Experience with SW and HW technology in embedded environments
- Experience in requirement engineering
- Knowhow in programming languages C, C++, Java and embedded operating systems such as Linux, Android and QNX
- Experience with System modeling tools, such as Simulink and Enterprise Architect
- Good language skills in English, written and spoken
- Excellent communication and good presentation skills
