Projektbeschreibung/Aufgaben/Rolle:

Overview:
We are looking for a candidate to support the clients team in evolving a LTE SDR UE solution for a specialized use-case. The candidate would need to be available for work in the clients lab in Stuttgart.
Remote work would be possible depending on the actual tasks of the project.
Any work that does not require physical presence in the lab (e.g. cabling, operating certain test & measurement equipment) could be done remotely.

Tasks:
- Perform software modifications and extensions required in Baseband and Radio Unit in order to fix ongoing Speed, Handover, Throughput issues etc.
- Perform Technical Analysis of Hardware and Software installed at Radio and Baseband Unit, and optimize SW for the used HW
- Integrate HW/SW on SDR UE device level and execute system level testing (full 4G network setup)
- Prepare documents like System Manual, User Manual, Troubleshooting Guide, HLD, LLD.
- Develop software scripts for automation.
- To develop automated Test Fixtures/Test Bench.


Skills/Hinweise:

Skill Set Required:
- Strong experience in programming using C, C++, Python
- MUST HAVE: 4G air-interface background
- Should have experience in doing coding at LTE Air Interface level.
- Should have at least 5+ years of experience (telco SW, embedded SW or similar)
- Should have strong experience in software development on Linux platform like Ubuntu, Debian etc.
- Should have knowledge of building/compiling the source code.
- Should be able to understand the hardware datasheet, schematics and signal traceability.
- Should be able to handle FPGA based systems.
- Should have strong experience of system integration.
- Should be able to do integration testing and complete system level testing.
- Good to have the knowledge of Open Source srsLTE package
- Good to have the knowledge of Open Source USRP Radio, Verilog, VHDL.
- Good to have hands-on experience of tools like oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer etc.
