€75 - €100 per hour depending on experience

A freelance UX Designer is needed to join a fast-growing start-up based in Mainz on an initial 3 – 6 months contract duration.

As the freelance UX designer, you will work closely with their Lead Data Scientist and their development team to develop the UX design for one of their AI products for data analysis and decision support. In addition to the basic design, you will be responsible for carrying out A/B tests and UX tests for continuous Optimisation.

The essential skills required for the UX Designer include:

• Very strong analytical feel for User guidance
• An understanding of technology and a fundamental enthusiasm for new UX trends
• In-depth knowledge of common design patterns as well as very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) or comparable tools
• Experience with common wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g. Origami, Axure and Balsamiq), research and testing tools (e.g. Optimizely, Usabilla, UX Recorder, Verify App)
• Experience working to agile methods according to Lean UX.
• Basic skills in frontend technologies such as JavaScript or HTML
