Senior Software / Cloud Engineer (.NET Core / Azure)Duration: 12 months
Location: Nuremberg (1-2 days working remotely)
I am currently working with a large manufacturing company based in Nuremberg that is highly motivated individual who will take ownership of the software throughout the entire development process and lead the development team in implementing the long-term vision of the software. The ideal candidate will possess extensive in .NET Core & Azure.
The Engineer will help ensure the data is usable and viable with near real-time reporting to deliver solutions to the problems presented.
This position will work on cutting edge data technology by being a key contributor on the Azure Data Lake and analytics initiatives. On this team an Engineer will get the chance to be the expert of data, collaborating with Data Analysts and Scientists, using all the skills in order to exploit data to drive the business forward.
The Engineer will help push the envelope of what is possible in the big data space for streaming live data into a data lake; moving data from raw replication, to cleansed, to an aggregated solution for the analytics team to leverage. These continuously evolving solutions use Azure Data Factory, data marts, data lake, and Azure Analysis Services.
Requirements
• C# and .NET, preferably .NET Core
• PowerShell or other scripting language
• Microsoft Power BI
• Microsoft Azure Data Factory
• Microsoft Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Lake Analytics
• Continuous integration/continuous deployment environments using Git, TFS or other Agile management tools
• Cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations, to include large-scale data warehouse implementations
• Transforming relational data into dimensional data (ETL, in-memory/cube use cases and patterns)
