Michael Bailey Associates are currently looking for a Big Data Engineer to join one of our largest Investment Banks based in Zurich.Duration: 6 Months
Responsibility:
? A key position as Big Data Engineer on a strategic IT program within Swiss Universal Bank
? You are designing and building new features for a Big Data platform using state of the art Big Data technologies
? work as full stack developer in an agile development team and take end-to-end responsibility design, implementation and testing of features
? You interact with senior IT and Business stakeholders and influence the transformation of the bank's IT application landscape
Must Have/Skills:
? Proven work experience of at least two years as a Data Engineer using Big Data technologies, preferably in financial services sector
? Excellent programming skills in Java and at least five years of experience in designing and developing complex enterprise-scale Java applications
? Solid knowledge of and experience in using Spark, Kafka, Hbase and Hive is a must, Kudu would be a plus
? Good verbal and written communication skills in English, German skills are of advantage
