For a project at our clients site, an international bank based in Ticino, Southern Switzerland, we are looking for an motivatedJava Software Developer - Financial Messaging (6074)
Your main task will be developing in JAVA coupled with data transformations through a product called Volante specializing in financial messaging and interfacing into multiple banking applications and technologies.
Your Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience as a Java & J2EE Software Engineer within the Financial Sector
• Hands-on software engineer with a strong focus on operational stability, security and application resilience
• Knowledge of SWIFT message types MT1XX, MT2XX and the equivalent of the ISO20022 standard
• Knowledge of Mainframe environments and Cobol programming
• Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc) and experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
• Experience in the Spring Framework
• Volante and messaging mapping or transformation experience
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
• Strong communicator in English, Italian is an advantage

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
