For a project at our clients site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for a experiencedSoftware Engineer – Core Java 1.8 / Spring (6071)
In this role you will be providing the systems needed by the Investment Bank, Wealth Management and Firmwide Risk to manage Market Risk exposure of its global Front Office functions as well as the systems that ensure Bank's compliance to various regulatory requirements.
Your Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in hands-on development using Core Java, including Java 1.8 and Spring within Financial Services (Market Risk)
• Experience in Java Server-side Application development and memory management
• Knowledge in Multi-threading, Collections API with an emphasis on quality and performance
• Excellent understanding of object-oriented design, database design and development
• Strong skills in SDLC tools with GIT, SVN, Gradle, TeamCity
• JDBC and Oracle PL/SQL – Familiarity with batch processing, bulk result set processing and performance issues associated with handling large volumes of data using JDBC
• Knowledge of R programming and data science experience would be advantageous
• Experience with Apache Spark, In Memory Data Grid or Grid computing and Cloud experience with Azure Cloud and Python would be beneficial
• Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
• Work on the development and maintenance of Market Risk Analytics Platform and adaptation of Big Data and Cloud solutions
• Design, develop, test and support solutions developed for Risk Methodology, Reporting and Risk Control
• Facilitate smooth delivery of the projects. Take complete ownership of the delivery of the various software solutions / components worked upon by the team
• Demonstrate superior collaboration skills in working closely with various stakeholders viz. other development, testing and implementation teams to roll-out important regulatory and business improvement programs
