A retail giant within e-commerce is looking for a motivated Frontend Developer in Stockholm, who has experience and a great driving force for product development, customer experience and an agile way of working. As a front-end developer you will be part of a cross-functional team and do everything from writing code and tests to thinking about how we can improve and create products that are user-friendly, efficient and appealing. Our teams consist of both Swedish and English-speaking people, which means that you must have good knowledge in both languages.The person should think it is interesting to work with new things, but at the same time be sufficiently senior to understand that it is not the framework X or Y that makes a project successful. As a person you should not be passive and expect others to solve things for one, you identify a problem, and you are expected to antigen capture it yourself or make sure that others in the team can help solve it.
To work agile and to be part of a team you see as something obvious. The fact that it is more efficient and fun to solve problems together is an approach that is important. Helping others and sharing knowledge is a natural part of one's everyday life, while listening and learning from others. Of course, you are also transparent and prestigious. It doesn't matter whose ideas it is, the main thing is that it helps us to develop in the right direction. If you have worked according to Lean, Scrum, Kanban or similar with MVP-thinking, you will be able to contribute more in the discussions that are conducted within the teams.
The company wants everyone to think about business value, what effect different features give and how to achieve the highest outcome/impact in the least possible way. To be pragmatic we see as a matter of course. One understands that writing generic and flexible code that solves more than what one speci works with does not provide any benefit but instead will become a burden in the future.
The candidate must have:
· Experience from working in any MVC / Component based framework (eg React, Ember, AngularJS, or similar)
· Styling with CSS3 / SASS / LESS / Stylus (preferably worked with modularized css)
· Experience of jQuery
· Experience of "vanilla javascript"
· Experience of refacting / maintaining existing javascript code
· Experience of debugging web solutions / Javascript code
· Worked with Continuous integration and continuous delivery
· Worked agile and understands the benefits of it (as well as the challenges)
The candidate should have:
· Experience of node build pipelines (shallow / gulp, webpack is a plus)
· Experience of Git
· Worked in a team with a functioning Continuous Delivery
· Experience of responsive design
· Experience of component-based Javascript and CSS architecture
· Experience of web development on different devices
· Knowledge of web performance, what makes a page fast, what makes it slow
· Experience of prototyping / iterating design with requirements makers and users
· Experience of testing javascript (both UI and device testing), TDD / BDD
