Our client is looking for a Database EngineerLocation: Munich or Manheim in Germany
Start: Beginning of Jan 2019
Duration: 6 months rolling
Language: English is enough but German is a big plus.
Exciting tasks await you:
- Design, implementation and operation of solutions for processing large volumes of data
- Continuous improvements, especially in the performance optimization of data processing
- Diagnosis of unexpected behavior of the database, especially during heavy load in production systems
- Collaboration with a dedicated team
- Integration into an agile development process
- Quick feedback from customers and thus direct appreciation of their own work
You are a specialist in that:
- Expert in SQL, database performance, stored procedures
- Safe handling of Javascript, Typescript, Node, Python and Docker
- Ideally, experience with modern alternatives to classic database models (NoSQL, etc.)
- Knowledge of big data processing with big data systems (eg Spark, Redis, Hadoop), Stream Processing (Spark, Kafka), Search (Elastic), NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, ...) and Frontend Development (Angular, React , HTML5, CSS3)
- Several years of professional experience in software engineering in a commercial environment (at least 3 years)
- Successfully completed bachelor or master studies in (business) computer science, mathematics or physics or equivalent education
- An analytical, innovative way of thinking and experimentation
