Here are the position details:Role - Java Developer
Location - Frankfurt, Germany OR Neu-Isenburg, Germany
Mode of Hiring – Contract (6 months) possibility to extend
Focus: Mirco-Services Kafka/Hadoop
Project - New development process – DevOps – Hadoop / Infrastructure.
Travel to other sites (EU): up to 10% of the time
Model : 4+1 (4 days customer premises – 1 day may be remote, if needed)
Experienced Java developers, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Mirco-Services Kafka/Hadoop (at least one out of Kafka or Hadoop. Both will be advantageous).
Responsibilities:
Your objective will be to deliver software engineering work packages related to the specified
technology and the current project stage (analysis, software architecture/design, development/
configuration, test, release, run/support) in accordance with the relevant software development
process and by using the automation tools supporting that process.
Requirements:
With your academic education in computer science or a comparable qualification and several years
of project experience in the context of a micro-service architecture based on Java and Spring-Boot,
you will take on the following tasks:
• Design and implementation of resilient and effective solutions
• Development of implementations based on SOAP and REST principles (Micro-Services) in a message-oriented environment (Kafka)
• Development of implementations based on Hadoop and related products of the Hadoop vendor and other vendors
• Conception and development of test cases based on JUnit, Selenium and Tosca
To achieve this, you should have practical experience in the following areas and tools:
• Spring Framework
• Spring Boot
• Maven
• Using SOAP and REST web services in software development
• XML/XSD, JSON
• Unit-Testing-Frameworks (eg JUnit)
• Docker
• Kafka
• Hadoop/Spark
• Since the micro-services are used in a Hadoop or Kafka environment, knowledge of ("complex")
event stream processing and event-based integration is very helpful.
• Also practical knowledge of continuous integration, automated testing, deployment monitoring and related tools, especially
Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible and Selenium, would be a benefit.
• Ideally, you were able to successfully apply these skills in the financial services sector.
As this is an international project, a fluency in English is essential. Nevertheless, knowledge of
German is an advantage.
