One year FTC:• Around 10 years of experience of OEM/Tier-1s in Automotive seating subsystems design & development
• Expertise in designing the seating subsystems – Structures/Foam/Plastics for the required technical specifications meeting the weight & cost targets
• High level of competency in the area of complete automotive seat systems design and development for 1st,2nd or 3rd row seats
• Experience in working in JIT environment. Knowledge of JIT assembly drawing & standards
• Experience in driving design from concept design till development meeting industry best practices and quality standards
• Knowledge of materials pre/post processing (including strain hardening) and understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes
• Designing seating system components in compliance with FMVSS regulations for US or ECE for Europe Automotive market
• Handle independently the DFMEA and DVP activities and guide the teams for issue resolutions. Supplier liaising experience in required
• Seat assembly engineering and experience in Tolerance stack up analysis
• Leading a team of designers and interacting with cross-functional teams to collectively deliver the specification targets within the specified timelines
• Handling the supplier technical interactions
• Interaction with customer/client engineers for design requirement, VAVE, Teardown Activities, Design validation activities, change requests
• Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Engineering: Mechanical or Automotive Engineering preferred
• Hands on experience using CATIA V5/Unigraphics NX preferred
• High proficiency in German language – B1 level and above preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to organise reviews
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage test plans
• Ability to support multiple programs and/or activities
