The essential functions are:• Lead and coordinate the operation team and activities with the three sectors: logistics,
operation of the facility and selling of recycling materials
• Ensure optimal cooperation of the operational sectors
• Organization, planning and control of the operation of the Electronic-Scrap recycling plant
• Use a business model and validate the model from an operational perspective to ensure that
the operation is economically optimized
• Responsible for planning and realization of processes with adherence to various regulations
• Monitor and ensure operational Excellence - decrease of downtime and elimination of bottle
necks
• Planning and implementation of maintenance processes as well as implementation of process
control tools
• Monitor and optimize economic use of technique
• Ensure compliance of quality specifications
• Create and evaluate different types of statistics and derive concrete optimization measures
• Support assignment / hiring of employees as well as supervise training and support of newly
hired colleagues and ensure the know-how transfer
Expertise
• Master’s degree or equivalent in process-/ mechanical or electrical engineering
• At least 10 years’ experience in waste treatment, manufacturing or utilities industries and at
least 3 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of scrap recycling facilities (ideally
electronic scrap recycling)
• Corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers
(UK), Institution of Structural Engineers (UK), Institution of Chemicals Engineers (UK) or of an
comparable Institution
• Broad knowledge of engineering, operations and Business Administration
• Experience in leading a intercultural team as well as imparting knowledge and staff training
• Ideally (work) experience in Asia
• Fluent in English both verbally and written
