Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise
Understands telecommunication OSS concepts and effectively employs different design techniques.
Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one OSS system.
Understands the benefits of the various OSS system and programming languages.
Possesses significant knowledge of various network domains and technology.
Solution Development and Delivery
Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation.
Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
Reviews work of engineering team.
Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
Technical Effort Management
Creates and executes SOWs effort and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Provides scoping and man days to the project manager and sales for pre-sales activities.
Responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project.
Performs reviews and mentors junior engineers.
Manages technical resources within budget (effort or man days) and project schedule.
Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.
Client Management
Manages client interaction and expectations regarding development efforts.
Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions.
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
Builds a knowledge base of each client's business, systems and objectives.
Qualifications/Skills required:
Bachelor/Master degree in Telecommunication or IT.
Min. 10+ years of telecom OSS experience.
Min. 5 years of engineering experience in OSS (Assurance/Fulfillment/Inventory Management) projects delivery.
Min. 3 years of team management experience.
Min. 5 years of strong hands-on experience in software development/integration/product configuration.
Familiar with 2 or more technology domains (SDH/Sonet/PDH, ATM/FR, xWDM, MPLS/IP, ME/CE, Microwave, WiFi/WiMax, Mobile (2G,3G,LTE), Access Network (ADSL/xPON/FTTx)).
Experience with 1 or more OSS suites end-to-end delivery (from requirement workshop to customer acceptance).
