My leading financial client provides a portfolio of services covering the entire process chain: securities and derivatives trading and clearing, netting and transaction settlement, custody and provision of market information. Information Technology designs, builds and operates the technological infrastructure of the company. These highly integrated and automated IT systems are essential to our success.
We are looking for a dedicated software technical tester to join our IT development centre in Frankfurt and help us advance the technology and functionality of our Trading systems. The variety of challenging tasks you will be accomplishing includes maintenance of technical test cycles, stability tests (load tests, failover), performance tests, operating tests, bug-fix testing, system integration testing and test automation. Our requirements in terms of complex functionality, high reliability and availability will thoroughly challenge your technical and testing skills and provide ample opportunities for continuous improvement.
You should possess and demonstrate the following skills and qualification:
- Excellent Linux Skills (preferred: RedHat)
- Python
- Shell Scripting (bash)
- Other programming experience (besides Python)
- MySQL, SQL
- Network protocols (TCP, UDP, Multicast)
- JBoss and Tomcat administration (basics)
- Testing experience
- Hudson/Jenkins experience (used for test automation)
- Basic knowledge of exchange services, trading, securities.
- Analytical skills (a feel for technical issues)
- Critical thinking, the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. English is essential, German can be beneficial
- Must be flexible, independent and self motivated.
- A team player, able to align & work together with testers at different test levels.
The initial contract should start in October 2015 and will last at least until the end 2015. Further extensions in 2016 are envisioned but cannot be guaranteed.
