Location: Munich, Germany

Role Purpose: Test
Test Specialist

Role Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Lead a test team
- Coordination of a test team between internal system engineering and customer
- Investigation of Software Requirements and Project Management of the test side of the V model
- Participate in the creation, maintenance and execution of manual and automated software testing for automotive electronic control units (incl. HUD and instrument cluster)
- Participation in the preparation, maintenance and expansion of test automation for software testing
- Testing the software on the HiL test bench or in the vehicle
- Specification and development of the test workflow
- Check and ensure compliance with the quality requirements for software development in the automotive industry
- Troubleshooting and modification of existing software testing including integration and compiling software from source code
- Detailed error analysis, if necessary and at the customer site
- Supplier management, that is, Technical Coordination and Management of outsourced test volumes
- Preparation and presentation of technical reports, eg Fehler-Status-/plan etc.
- Set up standard test tools and methodology
- Technical support for customer meetings
- Implementation of software testing at the system test space
- Support for the Resident Engineer, if necessary and at the customer site

Candidate Requirements and Competencies:
- University degree in Engineering, ideally as electrical engineering, automotive engineering, Software-Ingenieur/in or an equivalent qualification
- Ideally 6-8 years of work experience and / or project experience in the automotive test environment
- In-depth understanding in software testing and in test automation or the creation of test systems
- Knowledge of ECU software and control devices
- C / C + + / scripting experience in multi-threaded real-time operating system
- Demonstrable success in managing test teams
- Usability Test Protocol and experience
- Error Analysis (including FTA and FMEA)
- Certification as a tester (ISTQB or equivalent) (desirable)
- Experience with software development tools, such as version management, fault management, etc.
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and CMMI-DEV as well as AUTOSAR and diagnostic protocols
- Knowledge of communication buses such as CAN / LIN / MOST and experience in dealing with the corresponding development tools
- Experience in supporting the debugging and troubleshooting in SW implementations
- Fluent in English and German is a prerequisite
- Good communication skills in dealing with project managers and engineers from different fields of responsibility and customers
- Diplomatic skills, sensitivity to different cultures and very high service orientation
