For our client in telecommunications we are looking for a Software Architect with strong Back End integration and some mobile network experience who supports the team in the area of RESTful web architecture.
Start date: ASAP.
Duration: until end of the year (extension until March2016 is possible)
Volume: 100%
Location: Düsseldorf (1 day remote possible)

Project background
Our client works in department Products & Services, eg responsible for services like mobile payment services, Cloud. Because of heavy workload they need an additional Software Architect to support the team of 2 existing Solution Designers/Solution Architects.
Tasks/Daily business
- Analysis of user stories, operational improvements, defects
- Creation of solution design documents
- Closely working with developers to understand current implementation, and provide input for low level designs
- Coordination with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners (internal client = Marketing in London)
- Proof-of-concept implementations (optional)
- Execution of Code Reviews/checking the development work of the offshore development team in India
- Working in agile environment (SCRUM)
- Support the ability for Real Time reporting by analysing & improving the existing logging events
Required skills
Architecture
- Excellent skills in generic software architecture and architecture-/design-patterns
- Excellent knowledge about the web architecture and how to build highly available and highly scalable systems.
- Knowledge about self-contained systems and their architectural implications (Microservices).
- Knowledge about IaaS/PaaS environments and how systems need to be designed to benefit from this.
- Basic understanding of the IP side of Operator networks (GPRS, service proxies, GGSN etc)

Agile
- Strong knowledge about agile methodologies and the DevOps idea: development in a SCRUM environment
