I am looking for my client in NRW (Germany) for a contracting*** * Scala Architect / Consultant * ***
Task: Setting up Apache Cassandra with Scala in the company
Project start: ASAP
Project end: 31.12.2015
Project topic:
-The company uses Scala and wants to set up Cassandra in the company including to connect all interfaces anddatabases
-Your role is to inform the developer team about the possibilities and way of working with Cassandra and to build the architecture
-The aim is to create a database management system with high availability and performance with no failures to manage big amounts of highly volatile data
Project content:
-The e-commerce website has 50.000 clicks / sec. so stability is an essential feature
-Create the architecture for the database management system and the set up
-Use your knowledge about event-driven-architecture
-Use your knowledge aboutrevolutionary design
-The architecture should include features for monitoring and screening in running processes
-Share your knowledge with the developers where possible problems may arise
-Use of other open source technologies
-You will be starting with a team of 2 internal developers which will be increased to 6 internal developers during the project as more tasks arise
-Having knowledge about Scala and how to use it with Cassandra is a must
-Being able to develop in Scala is a plus but not a must have
Skills:
-Degree in IT or similar background
-Programming language: Scala
-Good knowledge with Apache Cassandra
-Further knowledge with Play, AKKA
-Database: MySQL
-Nice to Have: KASKA
-NO GERMAN skills needed, project language is English
