Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead - Linux, Ethernet, TCP/IP, C/C++ - 6 Month Contract
Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Technical Leader capable and confident in a key leadership role within the company, directly leading one or more engineering teams. The role requires network security experience and core development skills.
Qualification
- More than 5 years' experience in a leadership position
- Experience with software engineering concepts and Linux-based systems and development using C/C++
- A highly analytic and solution focused individual
- Experience in an Agile development environment
- Previous experience with IPS, Firewalls, traffic management systems or network optimization
- Relevant technical degree from a top university
- Experience with packet handling and Ethernet based networking protocols.
- Fluency in either English or German
Responsibilities
- Design and develop the packet processing core of our network security product
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers
- Identify areas of improvement within the system
- Challenge current solutions and help provide new ideas moving forward
- Influence business & management team
