An ATE Test Engineer is required by a global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract basis. My client specialises in design, development, testing and marketing advanced integrated semiconductor devices. The successful candidate will have a chance to work with state of the art technologies and work alongside world-class engineers. This position will be based in Germany and with travel to other sites (Belgium etc.)Job Responsibilities:
The ATE Test Engineer is responsible for creating and validating, in the context of a specific IC project or improvement, the required test solution in order to contribute to the achievements of the project's targets in terms of product specification, cost, quality and timing. Also the ATE Test Engineer will ensure the test solution robustness for sustainable manufacturing.
Take ownership of the complete test solution development. Drive to reach the needed deliverables (test time, test cost, quality and robustness)
Creation of the test solution to meet the requirements for different test releases (eg reliability qualification, failure analysis, characterisation, production etc.)
Challenge and contribute to ATE supplier on improvement of existing tools
Provide technical coaching to all test engineers
Participation in the setup of the validation plan
Analyse test data and drive the review of the results
Thorough knowledge of block level design and chip schematics and functionality of an IC and its impact on the test solution
Thorough understanding of the digital test methods such as scan-chain and test controller
Basic knowledge on memory structures and on Microcontroller structures used in our organisation (addressing, configuration, error control etc.) and its effect on tests
Thorough HW knowledge (concept creation and design) including stability and robustness assessment. Able to validate a PCB layout, considering influences on the measurements
Thorough Knowledge of:
o Measurement techniques for IC including selection and implementation of the most effective ones.
o Screening methods and its implementation (iddq, SHOVE, VLV).
o ATE, instrumentation and functionality of the used equipment including the definition of requirements for improvement or new developments of ATE.
o Test software development according to internal standards including test program structuring and definition of requirements and specifications for improvements.
o Statistics including selection, usage of correct tools and interpretation of measurement results and/or statistical analysis for further disposal.
o Manufacturing processes and equipment and assess the impact on the test solution.
Skills Requirements
Must have 5 to 10 years experience in test engineering for mixed mode IC:
o Test implementation
o Test strategy, Design for Test
o Yield improvement/test time optimisation
o Release of test solution in production
Work experience in automotive industry
Experience in test of mixed mode IC sensor like magnetic, pressure or optical sensors.
Experience in leading continuous improvement project within test engineering aiming to improve test efficiency (through different way of working or tools optimisation)
