System Engineer/Network Engineer/Systems Analyst
A leading international mobile telecommunications is currently looking to add a talented Systems Engineer/Network Engineer/Systems Analyst to their rapidly expanding IT team.
Based in their Frankfurt Headquarters, the Systems/Network Engineer/Systems Analyst will work in a busy and fast paced environment, working with cutting edge technologies.
The successful Systems Engineer/Network Engineer/Systems Analyst will also be responsible for a Systems Support Engineer.
Requirements for the Systems Engineer/Network Engineer/Systems Analyst
- Experience of network design principles and acting as the technical authority
- Desktop and Server Virtualisation technologies (VMware)
- Project experience - infrastructure migrations/upgrades
- Experience of successfully completing data centre migrations
- Advanced Active Directory and Network management skills
- A well developed, practical understanding of network technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, layer 3 routing protocols, sub-netting, QoS,& VLANs
- General knowledge of databases
- Understanding of information security principals, issues and solutions
- Expertise in Disaster Recovery methods and strategies
- Excellent knowledge of Virtualisation Technologies with a good appreciation of SAN storage solutions (NetApp)
- Well-developed troubleshooting skills
The successful Systems Engineer/Systems Analyst will have at least two of the following:
- Microsoft Certified Professional in Windows Server 2008/R2 or other Microsoft server infrastructure technology, or equivalent experience
- At least 4 years' experience of working in a dynamic and fast paced technical environment
- VMware Certified Professional
- HP ProCurve Switch experience but CCNA would be highly advantageous
- Microsoft Exchange experience (2010)
The project is expected to last significantly longer than the initial 6 month contract and rates range from €50-60/hour.
