Our client, based in Koln Germany is urgently searching for a Microsoft BI Developer for Report Visualization.
You will be working closely with the msg MS BI Architect and will have oversight from the Information Architect
You must have an iterative approach to Visualization reporting based on underlying SSAS MD and Tabular models
You will be proficient at holding workshops with Business Users and MS BI Architect.
You will have the ability to work independently, but with review and guidance from MS BI Architect and Information Architect.
For this role you will have the following:
* Some knowledge of the Reinsurance business
* Good communication level to be able to work with both technical and business resources
* Should be comfortable enough with the technology to be able to develop in front of the users and should have some experience working in this way.
* Microsoft SQL Server project experience with SQL 2012 (SQL 2008R2 a minimum)
* SQL Server BI stack working knowledge and actual project experience (SSAS, SSRS, and PowerPivot/Excel Services accessing SSAS cubes - SharePoint Designer/PPS a plus)
* PowerPivot v version) for Excel 2010 experience
* Power View (from within SharePoint in Designer) experience
* Must have a keen sense of how the report will fit into SharePoint and all the settings that may be available.
* Some experience with MDX and DAX or at least an understanding of syntax
* Very familiar with Visualization tool sets for reporting including PowerPivot/Power View/Excel Services with SSAS MD and SSAS Tabular model sources
* Data Warehouse dimensional design knowledge and understanding
* Unit testing and quality of delivered reports must be solid and consistent.
My client does need someone to start ASAP, on-site in Koln, therefore it is anticipated you will have a valid work permit for employment within Germany.
Sound German language skills will be an asset for this role as there will be a need to converse in German with both clients and colleagues alike.
