My client in southern Germany will be starting a large scale Big Data project, and for this project they are looking for a number of Big Data experts with a strong background in BI, SAP, SAP HANA and Hadoop integration with HANA for the structured data flow.The candidates must have deep technical expertise in architecture and deployment of full NetWeaver BI & Hadoop Suites, and the ability to provide technical advice guidance and oversight to NetWeaver and Hadoop BI projects through the full project lifecycle.
Areas of responsivity
- Transform data into a format which allows a statistical model to be based on: cleansing, aggregation, normalization, etc.
- Create access scripts for data consumption in analytical tool (e.g. complex SQL scripts)
- Make data available on the fly for adhoc analytics and prototyping (fast track, bypassing modelling and structured implementations)
- Explore data sources in terms of relevance, data quality, availability, coverage and completeness
- Specify processes for automated data delivery (interfaces and processes) into analytical database (involves partnering with internal data owners to specify requirements for input formats)
- Specify data transformations in data loading process
- Model new data points into analytical data model, document semantics and specify relations to existing data points
- Define development guidelines for database development
- Interact with Global IT horizontal organizations and service partners to drive implementation and testing
- Specify and implement a data quality concepts
- Define and implement a scheduling and monitoring strategy for automated data delivery into the analytical database
- Plan go live and handover to Service Manager

Duration: 1 year plus option for extensions
