Job Title: IT Infrastructure Architect
Job Location: Darmstadt, Germany
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
- Facilitate creation of requirements, design, sizing volumetric and related costing of hardware, software and storage.
- Continually identify, work to mitigate or allocate risks and issues relating to Technical services to ensure they are in line with IT Roadmaps and Standards;
- In consultation with the Domain Architects, propose relevant IT Standards and patterns;
- Perform critical evaluation and selection of infrastructure components by engaging with our Systems Integrator, technology suppliers and external specialities;
- Facilitate supplier relationships, meetings, statements of work definition as required to progress project issues and governance meetings and workshops
- Participate in regular performance reviews with relevant 3rd parties across the group infrastructure
Experience:
- Extensive experience supporting infrastructure.
- Extensive experience on IT delivery within an enterprise, covering all aspects of the project life cycle from Solution Outline through to Implementation
- Solution Architecture experience including application integration, network, storage and databases
- Experience of the following technologies including some administration: AIX, Linux and windows, pseries, xSeries, Firewalls, load balancers, Switches, Routers
- Experience of working with external hosting providers
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments
