Proteus Europe are currently looking for a Test Engineer for one of our clients in Germany.The test engineer will be responsible for the test plan, test execution and report.
More detailed activities:
-Be a member of an Agile development team participating in sprint planning activities.
- Analyze product requirements from a user perspective to form an overall test strategy.
-Develop and execute detailed test plans.
- Write, manage and execute manual test cases.
- Develop and monitor automated testing.
- Identify, document and track defects and provide clear, detailed problem descriptions to the development team.
- Analyze the risks associated with the test results.
- Report issues through a formal bug tracking tool and work with the engineering team to help isolate, debug and resolve issues/bugs.
- Stay abreast of industry software testing tools and best practices and make significant contributions to the development and deployment of new test technologies, tools or methods.
For this position we are searching for a person with a self-starting, self-motivating mindset, with good analytical skills and thorough approach to problem solving, excellent communication and time management skills.
Candidates must have ability to achieve results, meet deadlines and adjust to quickly changing priorities in a fast paced engineering environment.
The following skills are preferred:
- Experience working on a Unix/Linux command line environment.
- Experience with GUI test automation tools; Squish- Experience with scripting; Python and Bash.
- Knowledge of Bugzilla.
- Experience with version control systems; Subversion
