We are currently looking for an experienced Digital Design and Verification Engineer who is a highly motivated individual contributor and team player. Our client develops power supply solutions for displays using LCD or OLED technologies. Their solutions are used in end equipment ranging from smartwatches to smartphones, from tablets to notebooks, and from monitors to TVs.The power supply solutions are mixed signal devices incorporating usually several inductive converters (Buck / Boost / BuckBoost ...), linear regulators (LDOs) and charge pumps. Operating voltages can range from +40V to -20V.
Being a digital design and verification engineer in display power means:
- Being able to handle the full digital tool flow
- RTL design, Synthesis, Constraints (under consideration of the analog/mixed chip level), P&R, STA, SCAN insertion, Quality checks (LINT/CDC)
- Developing and verifying communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, ), memory interfaces (OTP, EEPROM, ), sequencing-FSM,
- Discussing specifications with our system engineers and translating these into design requirements
- Communicating and understanding the needs of analog design engineers
- Working closely with test and product engineers to ensure that design-for-test standards are considered up front
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in digital circuit design and verification
- Proficient knowledge of VHDL, SystemVerilog, Verilog,
- Knowledge of the Cadence digital tool chain would be beneficial (RC, Encounter, Encounter Test)
- Scripting (Ruby, TCL, Perl, )
- Basic analog understanding
- Good inter-personal communication skills are required for working in teams with multiple nationalities and potentially multiple locations
- High motivation to support demanding customer requests and fast turn-around times
