Job Title: Policy Admin Specialist
Job Location: Heilbronn, Germany
Job Duration: 6 months Contract Opportunity.
Looking for Policy Admin System who have strong design and development skills in Cognos/ETL.
The Required skills/experience are as follows:
- Strong Experience in Insurance Domain.
- Having experience in managing application support and maintenance of multiple application portfolio especially on policy admin systems
- Strong design and development skills in Cognos/ETL with overall responsibility on reporting
- Design, develop, test, implement and maintenance of reports/queries using Enterprise applications to help drive business processes, and measure success including the fulfillment of ad-hoc data and reporting requests.
- Test and tune applications and objects to provide optimum performance
- Collect and analyze data/reporting requirements from users; vendors, data management and other IT team members and translate those needs into effective solutions and clearly document and communicate that information to all stakeholders.
- Work closely with infrastructure, Data Center and Data Warehouse technicians to build and support/maintain the production Data Warehouse environment
- Effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders
- Having good P&C experience
- Ensures that best practices are followed while coding.
- Root cause analysis of the issues.
- Dedication to teamwork and knowledge exchange.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
- Develop Extract Load Transform scripts, packages and projects using Oracle Data Integration (ODI). Develop ODI scripts to promote scenarios and packages from dev to test to production. Perform administrative tasks such as job scheduling, automation, security, maintenance and topology configuration.
- Develop and design relational and dimensional data models for an Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Work with the business users and the technical teams to understand business requirements and translate requirements into data model(s), refactoring existing models where needed.
- Work to extract and load data from multiple source systems such as Oracle E-business, Hyperion, Concur, Sharepoint, MS SQL Server, XML files, flat files, MS access/excel documents, and other types of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with business owners and application administrators to understand company transactional systems and identify the gaps in business processes and data accuracy in the early life cycle stage of projects
- Work with IBM Cognos and IBM Framework Manager tools to promote the data warehouse objects to the meta data management layer for end user reporting
- Develop company policies and procedures for data warehouse development standards.
