Our client is currently looking for a Technical Supporter (m/f) Database for a project in Hemmingen.With a deep understanding of IT infrastructure you will be involved in most aspects of keeping our customer's servers, applications and hardware running smoothly. The position requires a good technical understanding of your speciality area and the ability to recover impacted services in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for fixing technically challenging problems to ensure that incidents do not reoccur. This role will build your experience in operating large scale, world class, global, 24/7 IT infrastructure.
Profile
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent certifications (MCSE, MCP, Oracle/MCDBA, HP-UX, CCNA, CCNP, SNIA)
- Experience within IT Operations, infrastructure services support (Systems Windows Server, Unix, Backups, DB's or Network management), operational monitoring and/or end user support
- Hands-on technical knowledge of the applicable technology platform that you will be responsible for: Database
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent understanding of ITSMITIL processes, preferably ITIL trained
Database - Technical Skills Specifically required.
Fulfilment of HP & Customer requirements for Oracle and/or MSSQL databases systems
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support services for Oracle and/or MSSQL databases systems
- Administration of Oracle and/or MSSQL database systems
- Supplier should adhere to Incident Management Processes in relation to technical domain including the resolution of trouble tickets, reporting and input to Problem Management.
- Supplier to assist in Management of Problem tickets in relation to multiple or repeat incidents including root cause analysis
- Implementation of approved changes as per schedule within agreed SLA and in agreement with customers
- Upgrade of Oracle and/or MSSQL databases systems (Patching)
- Support of HP Customer database related Projects
- Supplier (m/f) to provide consulting and support for the Installation, implementation, administration, release, change and testing of Oracle and/or MSSQL databases systems including Customer Projects.
- Technical design and technical architecture for Oracle and/or MSSQL databases systems
- Project support for new and In-flight projects where Oracle and/or MSSQL databases systems are involved
- Tuning, Performance optimization and capacity planning including reporting
- Management of small projects or sub-projects both National and International
- Collaboration in projects during the concept phase; design developing and documenting
- Documentation of technical domain as per agreed processes using appropriate templates and documentation standards
- Develop and maintain excellent working and communication relationships with internal and external customers
