Main Tasks:
As a network technician (m/f) you will be responsible for configuring data services in our client's management systems.
This means that you put the services into operation in cooperation with the technicians on site.
You will ensure the availability and quality of service of customer-specific transmission networks based on WDM, SDH and IP technologies.
You are responsible for troubleshooting, eliminating errors in complex connection networks and hardware, and controlling field service and external suppliers.
You will ensure operational network operation, document errors in the trouble ticket system and create detailed failure reports.
You carry out service, maintenance and repair work on the system technology and the associated network infrastructure.
You will implement customer and internal projects and support customers with technical questions and problems within the area of support.
You will take on-call services
Technical Qualifications:
You have a completed vocational training in the field of communications or information technology or many years of relevant professional experience in this field.
You have experience with network administration and system support in the area of LAN /WAN and data center switching.
You have experience with network management systems such as theGuard!, SOA or U2000.
You have sound knowledge of at least one transmission technology such as WDM (Transmode, Huawei), SDH (marconi, Huawei) or IP-based transmission networks (Cisco/Alcatel) and systems.
You have sound knowledge in the areas of switching, routing, access and VoIP technology, including the associated protocols.
You have experience with various interfaces and a sound knowledge of measurement technology.
You are fluent in English and ideally have first knowledge of German.
You have a class B driver's license.

You appear confident in dealing with both, customers and service providers.
You use your communicative skills in interacting friendly with customers as well as in working with the members of your team.
You are highly motivated and flexible, work independently and are always aware of your responsibility.
