System Engineer - Avionics
Task profile
System Engineering tasks for the development of Flight Management Systems. The project will run over the next 3 years. This position offers the chosen candidate to develop his/her career as a systems engineer in a prestigious and key player within the aerospace industry. My client offers a 12 month contract with the option of a permanent employment thereafter.
Experience in the following topics will be of benefit:
Model Based Systems Engineering, Aircraft Systems Integration, Systems Validation and Verification, Missile Guidance and Navigation, Electro-Optical Systems, Radar Systems, Project Management, Risk and Opportunity Management
Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering or aerospace engineering; Minimum degree: Bachelor
- Advanced knowledge of avionics systems
- Knowledge V-Model development processes
- DO178B/C, DO254
- Strong background in Software Development for safety-critical systems.
Expertise in at least one of the following topics:
- Avionics, Flight Management Systems, aircraft networking architectures, Flight Test, CNS/ATM, ADSB, TCAS, Inertial Navigation/Attitude Heading Reference Systems.
Soft Skills:
- Willingness to work in a cross-functional position in a global environment
- Interpersonal and leadership skills are required
- Experience in problem solving within the given framework
- Ability to strengthen teamwork and to effectively shape working conditions
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
