Senior Big Data Engineer - Spark/Hadoop - Remote

€80-€100 per hour

A global company are offering a part remote opportunity for a Senior Big Data Developer to assist with the further creation/improvement of data pipelines into the Spark data lake. The role will also be providing further scope/improvement to the overall data strategy for this business which is a market leader looking to harness the vast amounts of data they encounter and ingest.
They are looking for hands on coding experience in the following technologies - Spark, Spark SQL, Hadoop Hive, Kafka. Desirable skills include Python, Java, Scala desirable as well as any cloud environment desirable - AWS, GCP, Azure. The key to this though is having dedicted experience of creating/improving data pipelines/lakes in live environments for enterprise businesses dealing with huge amounts of data.
The client are also aiming to operate in a DevOps/Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration way so any experience with DevOps/CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCi, Teamcity, Travis, Docker, Vagrant, Ansible is desirable.
