AWS Analytics Architect Requirements
The candidate should have expertise in tools and technologies in Amazon Web Services, demonstrated through past experience of delivering platform based analytical solutions using AWS. The candidate will be responsible for building an analytics platform on AWS. As a part of this requirement, the candidate should satisfy the below qualifications.
Key requirements:
Demonstrable experience in AWS environment setup (VPC setup, security, server provisioning, availability zones etc.) Define and deliver data processing and data governance pipelines using tools such as S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, lambda, EMR, Athena, RDS, Redshift, Elastic search etc. Define and build pipelines for ingestion and egress of data to and fro from AWS utilizing big data components Hands-on experience in Apache Spark and Hadoop based technologies to deliver analytical solutions Understanding of how machine learning based solutions work in a cloud environment Hands on experience in creating and deploying predictive and descriptive analytics in a cloud environment Hands on experience in web-services/API based deployment of solutions Hands on experience in delivery of batch and streaming based analytical solutions Define and deploy monitoring, metrics and logging systems on AWS Ability to troubleshoot system integration and performance issues with regards to AWS pipelines Collaborate with team members in different phases of a project to ensure seamless transition Ability to articulate a maintenance plan for the platform once builtDesirable requirements:
Significant experience in software development and network, security implementation Ability to perform cost benefit analysis in terms of choosing the right design components for solution implementation in AWS Past experience in analytics platform implementation (2+ projects or 5+ years) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work cross functionally and with virtual teams Tuning of Apache Hadoop ecosystems (eg Hive, Spark, Streaming etc.) Tuning of database and data warehouse platforms such as schema design, query tuning and optimization, data migration, OLAP system, OLTP systems etc.
