Job description and main responsibilities
- As an analyst you will be responsible for conducting the analysis to support the Work programme. The analyst plays a key role in performing business and systems analysis, the results of which support further technical design, build and testing and should sustain Organisational and IT goals
- The aim is to ensure that business and project objectives are understood, that requirements are clarified, and ITS implications are identified and quantified. Solutions must be consistent with each other and with the existing/proposed architecture
- Understand the function and processes of the organisation in order to develop and describe appropriate solutions to business issues
- Work with the business and External Service Provider (ESP) to clarify and document business requirements in a structured and agreed manner
- Ensure that improvements in current business solutions are pro-actively developed and that systems are consistent with each other and within existing/proposed architecture
- Participate with knowledge proliferation within the team, the ESP and across the analysis discipline
- Understand and model information systems or their components, using a variety of modelling techniques as a basis for the subsequent design, development and test of those systems
Job requirements/ Qualifications
- Have the ability to develop an understanding of the business processes in our organisation and the ability to propose solutions to any improvements needed for these processes
- Have advanced knowledge of analysis and systems development, and be experienced in a variety of analysis techniques and approaches
- Perform analysis tasks and responsibilities independently
- Be able to share best practices
¡ Familiar with Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) and the services concept and have a strong knowledge of UML
- Proven technical skills in Oracle technologies and Enterprise Architect is an advantage
- Be a clear communicator both written and verbal with good presentation skills
- Be able to work under pressure to sometimes quite demanding timescales
- Be customer focused and a team player
- Be willing to travel (if required)
