Für einen internationale Bank, die durch den Brexit betroffen ist, suchen wir für mindestens 18 Monate (eher länger) einen Programme Manager mit folgendem Profil:


Job Description

In response to the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union, a requirement has emerged to upgrade/replatform the core banking system of a major financial institution to maintain European Economic Area passporting rights. To achieve BaFin compliance, a fully supported core banking system is required in 2019. The solution will necessitate integration with back-end systems in the UK. An exceptional IT Programme Manager required to work with the supplier to deliver the third party elements of the delivery. The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding in the upgrade or replatforming of core banking systems and experience undertaking systems integration.


Mandatory Skills

- Technical: Previous experience delivering core banking system solutions – ideally in Germany – with complex systems integration is essential.
- Project Mobilisation: Works collaboratively with business stakeholders to understand their requirements. Determines and assembles the team and work packages to deliver the required outcome.
- End-to-End Delivery: Depth of experience delivering IT changes from concept through to benefits realisation. Demonstrates flexibility in the application of different delivery techniques (i.e. waterfall, scrum, agile) in line with the aspirations of the project.
- Governance and Reporting: Creates, implements and operates within the organisation’s wider governance framework to create clear, unambiguos artefacts.
- Project Control and Delivery: Shapes, leads, directs and controls the delivery of complex, high risk and/or cross functional programmes, including pragmatic application of programme management methodologies, use of a clearly defined delivery roadmap and robust financial and risk management.
- Planning and Finance: Drives progress against the programme plan; understands, challenges and proactively manages the cost position; and acts to mitigate potential cost or time delays.
- Resource Management: Identifies and secures appropriate resources to work on the programme; defines clear roles and responsibilities for all team members including specific responsibility for production of all deliverables.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills when managing stakeholders, up to Director-level in Germany and the UK.
- Risk: Continuously evaluates programmes/projects for financial and people risk and regulatory compliance and takes appropriate steps to mitigate.
- Supplier Management: Practical experience managing third party suppliers and implementing effective governance and control to ensure the service received is of the highest standard.
- Soft skills: The candidate will have experience of delivering change in a complex environment against challenging timescales. They must be able to translate technical, legal and business information into clear, unambigous plans with clear timescales and accountabilities. The candidate will need to be able lead, motivate and inspire a wider-team including third party suppliers towards a common outcome.


Discretionary Skills

- Regulatory Environment: An understanding of the European and German regulatory environment advantageous but not essential.
