Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, are looking for a number of Data Engineer's to join their team on a 7 month contract in Darmstadt, Germany.
This technical role requires deep knowledge and experience with Linux and application programming.
The candidate will work closely with architects, data engineers and business analysts to design, document, implement and train other engineers (on and offshore) in modern high quality software development practices especially in the areas of code/design reviews, use of source code control (Visual Studio Team Services), code and design reviews and continuous integration tools and techniques.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Skilled in using Linux
- Must be expert in at least one high level language such as Java, Scala, C++, etc
- Must have experience in writing Shell Scripts and using python language.
- Experienced with modern development techniques such as TDD or BD
- Expertise in the use of Git for source code control.
- Must have expertise in developing applications using maven and integrating tools with maven repositories
- Must have experience in deploying application using continuous integration with tools such as Jenkins
- Must be comfortable running workshops to train other engineers
- Must be able to produce documentation
