Our client in Germany is looking for an English speaking Senior Data Engineer/Developer.
TASK
- Act as a software engineer in a project focusing on predictive maintenance Design, develop, and deploy production-ready software for a big-data platform.
- Provide visibility to software quality issues and work with the project team to fix those.
- Apply agile methods to optimize software product development.
SKILLS
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field.
- At least 5 years' experience in software development
- At least 2 years' experience in project management in an agile setup
- Mastery of object-oriented programming in several programming languages (eg Python, Scala, and Java).
- Knowledge of or working with various database systems (eg SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop), query languages (eg SQL, Spark, Hive) and web APIs.
- Ability to quickly understand business-oriented software development.
- Strong product-oriented mindset
This is a English speaking role, German language would be a plus.

Duration: 5 Months + extensions
Location: Essen 70%, Munich 20%, Quickborn 10%
