Main Tasks:
In this role you will assist the team in building and optimizing the financial market data acquisition, enrichment and reporting processes.
Your responsibilities will include the analysis of market data feeds, the analysis of vendor specific calculation methodologies, the verification of our market data enrichment processes and the configuration of the enrichment and reporting processes based on the results of your analysis.
In addition, you will serve as an escalation point on queries related to market data feeds and calculation methodologies.
Your work will involve a close collaboration with our various financial market data providers as well as with different departments.
Ideally, you will bring your profound knowledge of financial market data and interest in large-scale data processing to the team, along with an attention to detail and the ability to analyze and solve problems.
Technical Background:
University degree in Computer Science, Finance or a related field
Profound knowledge of financial markets and financial data (focus: financial market data)
Experience in working with financial databases and applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals
Fluency in English and German
Desired:
Knowledge of a (scripting) programming language, such as Perl, Java or C
Knowledge of relational and timeseries databases
Experienced with Excel
Personal Qualifications:
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast moving environment
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
