Data Scientist - Assortment Optimisation

Due to the location of this project, please only apply if you are eligible to work in Germany in a freelance capacity. Required: - Have worked within a Retail / Ecommerce environment (ideally 3+ years) - Experience writing / producing algorithms to define assortment topics - Programming knowledge in R - Clear demonstration of data based decision making skills - Strong presentation skills Preferred: - Mathematics or Physics background - Data modelling experience - Practical experience within big Data Environments (Hadoop, MySQL, Hive, Spark, Cassandra etc) - Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with stakeholders across all levels - German Speaking (nice to have but not highly necessary) Offered: - Small amount of remote working after an initial period - A challenging, interesting and varied activity - Development opportunities in a globally operating group
