Work alongside the inventor of Data Vault Dan Linstedt and his Co-author Michael Olschimke in building up a modern enterprise data warehouse (EDW) using Data Vault 2.0 from scratch as part of the data strategy of one of our major clients from the mining industry.Drawing upon a number of different source systems consisting largely of unstructured data, the client is searching for a certified Data Vault 2.0 (CDVP2) consultant to
- analyse the source systems for Data Vault related staging,
- optimize the existing structures, and
- support on-site in building of the Business Vault.
- Our client is planning on using the following software:
- Toad Data Modeler
- Pentaho PDI
- PostgreSQL
- possibly Wherescape
Working as part of a BI team you should possess
- a sound understanding of BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, strong SQL skills with an ability to write and develop
complex code, scripts and stored procedures, as well as data warehouse and reporting techniques.
- strong Data Modelling skills - specifically Data Vault 2.0.
- some knowledge of Toad Data Modeler.
- strong data analysis skills with a deep understanding of the importance of data quality.
- previous experience in building new Data Warehouse / Information Management platforms from the ground up.
- outstanding communication skills in both German and English.
