One of our most respected clients within the Ecommerce sector for Online and offline sales, is looking for a BigData Engineer to join their Hamburg or their Stuttgart office for a 6 month rolling contract. This contract could end up lasting 2 years or more but they're also offering up to 40% remote work.
They want someone who has an excellent BigData background as this is a Greenfield project; you will be part of something new and be a key figure within the progression For the Data team. They're looking for a passionate Data Engineer, to initially start setting up the foundation for the data platform and later, work on details of the data platform up to delivering APIs for intelligent Real Time decisions in the web shop and other consumers.
You Profile;
- Must have a BigData background (Big data/Big Data Architectures)
- Working experience with Spark
- Proficiency with Scala but Python is a nice to have as well as experience with large-scale software systems and architectures.
- Nice to have- Machine Learning
- Desire to quickly learn new technologies and adopt tools that fit a problem best
- Being hands-on, resourceful and a doer
- Able to work autonomously but also operate as part of a strong, cohesive team
- Strong communication skills
- English Speaking!
