Job Description
My client needs a senior full stack developer to assist them in designing, developing and maintaining a new laboratory information system to help in the treatment of millions of animals worldwide. Based in Stuttgart, Germany, this role is a unique opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team using the latest technology to develop a new system to the highest standard.
The role will require you to follow all appropriate design, development and testing standards whilst proving that you are competent in utilising the newest technologies to overcome software issues and develop a user-friendly system. An understanding of Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) is essential, alongside experience in System Integration Design and Integration Solutions.
Key Skills
- Expertise in Java 6 and above
- An understanding of Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) is essential
- Experience writing and troubleshooting REST services
- Good knowledge of JavaScript frameworks
- Familiarity with Maven, JAX-WS/JAX-RS, JPA (Eclipselink, Hibernate or any other persistence layer)
- Experience building and implementing continuous integration
- Dependency management
- Knowledge of Micro services and design patterns
- Skilled in SQL RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle etc.)
- Subversion and/or Git version control experience as part of a large team
- Good knowledge of web services and cloud platforms in a Client Server environment
- Familiarity with testing tools (Jasmine, Protractor, Postman etc.)
- An understanding of Agile is a plus
- Experience working with System Integration Design and Integration Solutions
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and work experience is essential
