Your job?


You’ll be the Project Manager for a large Hadoop Data Lake implementation

The project? It is:

• A complex assignment that crosses functions, teams and international regions.

• Has C- level sponsorship and visibility.

• A collaboration between the Data Science team, IT dept and an external vendor.

You’ll need to be good at managing multiple stakeholders and able to deliver on:

• Implementing a large global enterprise wide solution from 2 successful local prototypes.

• Consolidating and migrating Data from two large Oracle databases to a Hadoop environment.

• Developing Data Management best practices & Data Lake governance processes.


The Team?

You’ll be working in a talented team with some seriously smart people. Mostly PHD Data Scientists.

Looking after you will be the Chief Data Scientist.

He’s a Physics PhD, with a passion for using Data Science to deliver measurable business value.

Oh - and the reason they treat freelancers so well? He used to be a freelancer, just like you.

The fact they have a C-level Data Scientist tells you how seriously they take it.

Minimum requirements:

• Must have previous experience of large scale enterprise solution design and implementation in a large corporate company.

• Proficient with Unix environments, SQL, RDBMS, C++, HDFS or other Big Data platforms such as SAP HANA.

• 3 years data engineering/software development experience.

• Experienced at implementing projects using Scrum principles and comfortable operating as a Project Manager who can keep people in a large enterprise aligned and moving forward.

• Must be able to start by Mid/end of August.

Remuneration:

• Day Rate: 800 per Day.
• Travel expenses: Travel and hotel expenses will be reimbursed.
