My Client is currently in the market for a Data Engineer to take up a multi million euro project in Stuttgart for a minimum of 3 to 6 months. In this role, you will work on responsible tasks within the framework of Big Data and Advanced Analytics projects.
Essentials:
- Proven experience in implementing and/or scaling data pipelines on hadoop platforms written in python (preferred), R or Java/Scala.
- Strong programming capabilities in exactly one or more of these languages and hands-on experience on hadoop clusters are mandatory.
You should be able to handle business queries adhoc when dealing with (SQL) queries on the current systems such as Teradata, SAP Hana and dealing with the Hadoop ecosystem.
Your tasks also include the models and results of the Data Scientists to be internationalised, ie For productive use. It is up to you to integrate this into existing systems/software or to introduce new systems where necessary.
It is a plus if you have successfully completed degree in business informatics, computer science or comparable.
Also must be familiar with Hadoop, Spark, Teradata and other Big Data technologies, Ideally multi-year professional experience as a big data engineer.
German and English spoken and written is a must.
