Role Profile ? Software Engineer Front-End Trading RiskExternal Contractor Position
In the function of a Software Engineer joining our team in St. Gallen you will face the following challenges:
- Analysis, design and implementation of front-end trading risk applications
- Work in an agile core IT team side by side with traders and business representatives managing all parts of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Responsible to extend an existing Trading Application based on JAVA 7 in self-controlled iterative manner with a clear project-based functional
target but with a need of frequent interaction with several stakeholder on scope and solutions
- Participation in regression and acceptance testing, execution of test cases and test cycles for releases
- Contribute to the overall evolution of the trading platform, architecture and strategy
Your competencies are:
- Degree in computer science, engineering or economics
- 5+ years experience from front-office software engineering within the financial industry ideally integrating off-the-rack trading solutions
- Excellent communicator and ability to work with IT, traders and business analysts alike, also during hectic hours
- Excellent understanding of high-performance trading technology from architecture decisions to monitoring solutions
- Good skills in writing business and technical documentation
- Good understanding of agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum and DevOps) and tools (e.g. Visual Studio Team Services, Atlassian Suit)
- Experience from Market or Credit Risk systems are seen as a great benefit
